  • This is a beautiful authentic Mexican clay pot which is imported directly from Mexico. It comes with a top lid as you can see in the pictures. It is great for beans or soups. Built to last and made of great heavy material to last for years. This is as authentic as it gets. This is thick clay and made by hand. This is what you see in Mexican kitchens and restaurants, perfect for chilis and other thick soups.

  • Before using the pot, please follow these care instructions:
    • 1- Soak outer bottom part in cold water for 2 hours
    • 2- Fill the pot with cool water below the rim
    • 3- Bring water to a boil and allow to simmer for 5 minutes
    • 4- Turn off the heat and allow the water to cool down (best if you leave overnight)
    • 5- Discard the water
    • 6- Clean it with with a grain salt paste or baking soda and rinse with water
    • 7- Clay pot is ready for use!
      Avoid dishwashing liquids or soaps. Scrub it with a plastic scraper.
